Jan Suraj curator said Bihar’s poverty would eradicate only through education.

Patna November 8, 2024: Jan Suraj curator Prashant Kishor claimed his party, has emphasized that education is the fundamental solution to lifting Bihar out of poverty and backwardness.

Jan Suraj curator explained why the school bag is his party symbol:

In line with this belief, my party has requested the election symbol of a “School Bag” from the Election Commission and obtained it which embodies our mission to prioritize education as a means of social and economic progress,” Kishor said.

Explaining the significance of this symbol, the Jan Suraj curator criticized the impact of over three decades of governance under leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar, which he claims has left the state’s education system in disrepair.

“Due to this neglect, many children in Bihar have been forced to abandon schooling to take up labour,” he said, this symbolized by the absence of school bags from their shoulders.

Kishor stated that Jan Suraj’s commitment is to restore the “School Bag” to the children of Bihar, representing their pledge to make quality education accessible.

“This is the key to reducing poverty and advancing the state’s development. The “School Bag” symbolizes a pathway to employment and stability for Bihar’s youth,” he said.

Jan Suraj curator said migration can be reduced only through education:

The Jan Suraj curator emphasized that addressing Bihar’s migration issue begins with providing quality education, represented by the school bag.

“The Jan Suraj Party’s vision is to deliver world-class education within Bihar, creating local job opportunities so that young people can find stable employment in their home state instead of seeking work elsewhere,” Kishor said.

The Jan Suraj curator highlighted that true development in Bihar depends on a strong education system, drawing from Indian tradition to illustrate his point: “Until Goddess Saraswati (the goddess of knowledge) arrives, Goddess Lakshmi (the goddess of prosperity) cannot reside there.”

This cultural reference underscores Jan Suraj’s belief that education is the foundation of progress and prosperity. Thus, the party’s choice of the “School Bag” as its election symbol reflects its commitment to making education a top priority in Bihar’s development agenda.
