Centre wants responsible use of AI in India:

The initiative aimed to mobilize citizens across the country to commit to the ethical, inclusive, and responsible use of artificial intelligence through a dedicated digital platform.

Participants were encouraged to engage with scenario-based questions focused on core principles such as data privacy, accountability, transparency, and countering misinformation, reinforcing India’s vision of building a trustworthy and human-centric AI ecosystem. Upon completion, participants received a digital badge and access to structured AI learning pathways.

Ashwini Vaishnaw urged youths to use AI responsibly:

Addressing the media, Vaishnaw credited Narendra Modi’s vision of engaging youth in the responsible and ethical adoption of emerging technologies.

He said the initiative was inspired by the Prime Minister’s emphasis on outreach to educational institutions, faculty members, and students to ensure AI is used as a force for social good.

Calling the achievement a “proud moment for the nation,” the Minister noted that the record-breaking participation far exceeded the original target of 5,000 pledges, reflecting growing public awareness and strong citizen engagement in responsible AI practices.

He further said the campaign marks a significant milestone in citizen-led digital responsibility and underscores the country’s commitment to shaping the global AI discourse through inclusion, ethics, and public trust.
