Patna, August 1, 2025: Following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday published the Draft Voter List for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections 2025.
Voters now have until September 1, 2025, to submit claims and objections related to the voter list.
The Election Commission has clarified that any voter or political party can add missing names, delete an ineligible entry, correct incorrect details, and claim.
Special camps of the Election Commission starting from August 2:
From August 2 to September 1, daily camps will be set up at designated offices like Block-cum-Anchal offices, urban body offices like Nagar Panchayat, Nagar Parishad and Municipal Corporation zones from 10 AM to 5 PM—even on Sunday and holidays, to assist citizens with the inclusion of names, corrections or objections, and guidance on the process.
Digital & physical copies available:
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar confirmed in a press release that printed and digital copies of the draft list have been shared with all 12 recognized political parties and District Election Officers (DEOs) in all 38 districts of Bihar.
Voters can check their names online via this official ECI portal.
The list has been issued under Para 7(4) (Page 3) of the SIR order, and the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar, along with all 243 electoral Registration Officers (EROs) will be accepting claims and objections during this period.
Reminder for Citizens:
If you or your family’s name is missing from the list, visit your nearest registration office or voter camps without delay, as the window closes on September 1.
