Dharmendra Pradhan met CM Nitish Kumar in Patna, NDA’s seat-sharing talk on a fast pace.

Patna, September 28, 2025: With the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approaching, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister and Bihar BJP in-charge of the election, met with the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday.

Dharmendra Pradhan was recently appointed as the Bihar election in-charge of the BJP.

Sources have said that the discussion on the seat-sharing within the NDA will gain momentum after this meeting. Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently announced that a final decision will be revealed after Navratri.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and JDU working president Sanjay Jha.

Following the discussion, Dharmendra Pradhan posted on X, calling it a pleasant meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and JDU working president Sanjay Jha.

Earlier, Nitish Kumar had also met Amit Shah, with both BJP and JDU leaders expressing confidence that the seat-sharing process will be completed smoothly.

BJP and JDU are bigger partners in the NDA:

The NDA in Bihar comprises five parties, including BJP, JD%U, LJPRV, HAM and RLM.

While BJP and JDU are expected to contest over 100 seats each, the remaining seats will be distributed among the three smaller allies, all of whom are pressing for a large share.

Meanwhile, the NDA leaders, including PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, continue to tour Bihar, launching development projects and announcing welfare schemes, such as the Rs 10,000 assistant to women, ahead of the expected October election notification.
