Department of Fertilizers has reiterated Seva Sankalp at Kartavya Bhawan.

New Delhi, March 2, 2026: In a significant reaffirmation of the spirit of public service and nation-building, officers and staff of the Department of Fertilizers (DoF) convened at Kartavya Bhawan to collectively reiterate the “Seva Sankalp”(Resolution of Service) envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting was presided over by Rajat Kumar Mishra, Secretary (Fertilizers), who highlighted the Prime Minister’s vision that the workplace should reflect the sanctity of a pilgrimage—a confluence of duty, service, and dedication.

During the deliberations, Aparna S. Sharma, Additional Secretary, described the “Household toilet” initiative as a landmark achievement in safeguarding the dignity of women.

Krishna Kant Pathak, Joint Secretary, emphasized the transformative impact of the JAM Trinity (Jan Dhan—Aadhar—Mobile) in ensuring transparent and direct transfer of subsidies to beneficiaries.

Officers and staff also shared their perspectives on the socio-economic impact of flagship initiatives such as Digital India, Ayushman Bharat, infrastructure expansion, and the strengthening of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

The event follows the first meeting of the Union Cabinet held on February 24, 2026, at the new Prime Minister’s office, Seva Teerth, where it was resolved that every executive decision would be dedicated to the welfare of 1.4 billion citizens and the broader goal of nation-building.

After collectively reaffirming the pledge, Rajat Kumar Mishra led a discussion on the Government’s key reforms and achievements.

He noted that the abolition of “VVIP culture” in 2014 marked a significant step towards institutionalizing humility and equality in governance.

Concluding the session, the Secretary urged all personnel to embrace the modern work environment at Kartavya Bhawan with full dedication.

He called upon the department to clearly define individual contributions and integrate the “Seva Sankalp” into daily official conduct to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Emphasizing the importance of clarity of purpose, he reminded officials that understanding one’s duty remains the highest form of wisdom.
