Patna, July 28, 2025: With the Bihar Assembly elections drawing near, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday flagged off a high-tech campaign vehicle named ‘Nischay Rath’ aimed at promoting the achievements of his government, particularly the flagship Saat Nischay Yojana (Seven Resolves Plan).
The state-of-the-art chariot, specially built in Haryana, will serve as the CM’s mobile stage for roadshows and public outreach during the election season.
Nitish Kumar will do a campaign on wheels:
Designed to resemble a luxury van, the Nischay Rath has been customized for long political journeys and high-volume public engagements.
According to officials the chariot includes a hydraulic lift system enabling CM to address crowds from the roof, floodlights and roof railings for nighttime public meetings, air-conditioning and heating systems for comfort, adjustable seating, meeting rooms, and a privacy cabin for closed-door discussions.

Full-body branding with JDU’s election symbol, Nitish Kumar’s photo, and slogans like, “Sisters and daughters’ dreams come true, thank you Nitish Kumar.” The chariot is seen as a crucial part of Nitish Kumar’s public relations strategy and a Key tool to highlight developmental work under the JDU-led government.
Focus on ‘Saat Nischay Yojana’:
The campaign will center around the Saat Nischay Yojana, considered CM’s signature initiative for development.
The key focus areas include Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal–Tap water in every home, Shauchalay Nirman—Toilets in every household, Bijli Ghar Tak—Electricity in every house, Gali-Nali Pakkikaran—Paving of streets and drains, Aarthik Hal Yuvaon Ko Bal—Economic support for youth, Mahilaon Ka Samman—Women’s empowerment and Nagar Vikas—Urban development and basic infrastructure.

The chariot will tour various constituencies to publicize these achievements and connect directly with voters.
Political messaging: No sign of BJP branding:
Notably, the Nischay Rath bears no mention of the BJP, the JDU’s ally in the NDA coalition. The chariot prominently displays only JDU branding, fueling speculation that Nitish Kumar may be testing a more independent outreach strategy this election season.
According to JDU sources, the Nischay Rath will be used exclusively by Nitish Kumar for roadshows and grassroots interactions.
It is unlikely to be used by other party leaders or for alliance-wide events.
