CM Nitish Kumar launches Rs 558 crore development projects to boost infrastructure in Siwan.

Patna, September 7, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated work for nine major development projects worth Rs 558.35 crore in Siwan district.

The projects include road widening, construction of a railway over bridge, and power sector schemes, aimed at boosting infrastructure and improving civic amenities.

Nitish Kumar highlighted welfare and development projects:

Addressing the dialogue program in Pachrukhi block, the Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries of the Social Security Pension Scheme, Jivika Sisters, electricity consumers, and other welfare initiatives.

Nitish Kumar highlighted that the pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme has been raised from Rs 400 to Rs 1100, while nearly free electricity is being provided to all domestic consumers.

He also underlined measures taken for the welfare of Jivika Sisters, noting the positive response from the public.

“We have approved schemes announced during the Pragati Yatra in record time. Work has already begun, and the government is determined to fulfil all commitments,” Kumar said.

Call for unity among NDA workers:

Later, interacting with NDA workers, Nitish Kumar urged them to stay united for the state’s progress.

His visit generated enthusiasm among local workers, who pledged to strengthen the NDA ahead of the crucial Bihar assembly polls 2025.

During the event, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Water Resource Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Siwan MP Vijaylaxmi Devi, former MP Kavita Singh, former MLA Ramesh Kushwaha, JDU leader Ajay Singh, and other senior leaders were present.
