CM Nitish Kumar inspects the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Centre in Patna.

Patna, December 30, 2025: Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, on Tuesday, inspected various sections of the newly constructed Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science City in Patna.

The state-of-the-art facility is spread over 21 acres in Pajendra Nagar, Patna.

During the inspection, Nitish Kumar carefully reviewed the entire complex, including its scientific galleries and interactive exhibits.

He also interacted with children present at the site and encouraged them to develop an interest in science and innovation.

Briefing to Nitish Kumar about facilities and key attractions:

Secretary of the Building Construction Department and Secretary to the Chief Minister, Kumar Ravi, briefed Nitish Kumar about the facilities and infrastructure at the Science City.

He informed that its major attractions include five science-based galleries, 269 interactive science exhibits, a fully equipped auditorium, a 4D theatre and dormitory facilities for students and teachers.

Nitish Kumar’s remarks:

Expressing satisfaction with the project, CM Nitish Kumar said that the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science City has been built very well with unique and innovative ideas.

He described it as a modern centre of science and innovation that is attracting people of all age groups and serves as a distinctive learning hub for science and technology in the country.

The Chief Minister said that the primary objective of the Science City is to promote scientific awareness among youth.

He added that students visiting the facility would be able to easily understand scientific principles and activities, which would help foster curiosity and a deeper interest in science.

Several senior officials were present during the inspection, including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Patna Divisional Commissioner Animesh Parasar, District Magistrate Tyagarajan SM and other officers.
