Patna, December 31, 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction work of the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Super Specialty Hospital building in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, and directed officials to expedite the completion of the project.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the government’s objective is to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art healthcare facilities under one roof.
Nitish Kumar noted that the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital has been developed as a super-specialty orthopedic hospital, and the new building under construction will offer advanced treatment facilities for orthopedic diseases.
CM Nitish Kumar also inspected the existing hospital premises and interacted with patients and their family members to assess the quality of healthcare services being provided. He instructed officials to ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment and that no negligence occurs in medical care or hospital management.

It is noteworthy that in 2012, the Chief Minister announced the development of the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital as a super-specialty orthopedic hospital.
Following this, approval was granted for the construction of a 400-bed hospital building within the hospital complex at a cost of Rs 215 crore.
The six-storey building, currently under construction, is expected to be completed by March 2026.
The new facility will include parking space for 250 vehicles, six elevators, six operating theaters, 42 ICU beds, and 15 private wards.
To ensure adequate medical services, 140posts, including 66 doctors, have been created for the super-specialty hospital. Once operational, the facility is expected to significantly benefit patients suffering from orthopedic ailments across Bihar.

M., and other officials.
