Patna, November 24, 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday conducted an extensive inspection of the Hajipur industrial area, one of Bihar’s most important industrial clusters.

He reviews key industrial units, assesses production processes, and discusses expansion, employment generation and investment opportunities with management teams and officials.

The Chief Minister first visited New Zeel Seasonal Wear Private Limited, where he examined textile manufacturing operations.

He sought detailed information on workforce size, working conditions, product categories, production capacity, and market demand.

He also interacted with workers in the tailoring unit, asking about workplace facilities and social security benefits.

Nitish Kumar also visited the footwear unit:

Nitish Kumar then visited Competence Export Private Limited, a major footwear manufacturing unit.

He inspected shoe production processes and discussed raw materials, product design, market demand, quality standards, and export potential.

Officials informed him that the company is steadily expanding its footprint in both domestic and international markets.

Nitish Kumar instructed the Industry Department officials to ensure full support for the unit’s expansion and employment prospects.

At Britannia Industries Limited, officials briefed him on the large-scale production of biscuits and cookies at the Hajipur plant, which supplies products across India and overseas markets.

The Chief Minister reviewed quality control, packaging, and export procedures.

Representatives noted Britannia’s strong national presence in the bread, dairy, and packaged food segments.

Nitish Kumar instructed officials to focus on industrial growth:

Following the Industrial tour, Nitish Kumar chaired a review meeting with senior officials.

Discussion centered on industrial growth, infrastructure development, investment requirements and employment generation.

Nitish Kumar directed officials to accelerate industrial development to create more opportunities for local youth.

Officials highlighted that during 2024-25, several prominent companies, including COMFED Sudha Dairy, Sona Biscuits, Anmol Industries, Britannia, Godrej Agrovet, SLMG Beverages, and Avon Cycle, have invested in the Hajipur cluster, significantly boosting both industrial activity and employment.

Nitish Kumar was accompanied by Chief Secretary, Pratyay Amrit, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, ACS (Industries) Mihir Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, District Magistrate Varsha Singh, and other senior officials.

The Hajipur Industrial Cluster comprises nine industrial zones, including the Export Promotion Industrial Park, which has allotted land to 289 units.

A total of 291.83 acres has been allotted for industrial purposes.

With upgraded power facilities 11 kV and 33 kV, improved roads, solar streetlights, drainage boundary walls, and better connectivity, the cluster is rapidly emerging as a key industrial hub in Bihar.
