Patna, October 22, 2025: Union Food Processing Minister and LJP Ram Vilas (LJPRV) national president Chirag Paswan on Wednesday hit out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, saying that the latter is watching dreams like Mungeri Lal in daylight.

The statement of Chirag Paswan came soon after Tejashwi Yadav announced tall election promises about regularizing contractual employees and Jivika Didis.

Speaking to reporters in Patna, Paswan ridiculed Tejashwi’s announcements and questioned the unity and credibility of the Grand Alliance ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

“First of all, let’s make this government and then think about it. The Grand Alliance leaders are busy fighting among themselves. It has already been destroyed. Despite this, if Tejashwi Yadav thinks he will come to power, then he is dreaming like Mungeri Lal,” Paswan said.

Chirag Paswan criticized the Grand Alliance leaders:

Chirag Paswan further mocked the alliance’s attempt to show unity, saying their sudden efforts for a joint press conference reflect desperation.

“After many days, they are now claiming to do a joint press conference. Congress election in-charge Ashok Gahlot has come to Patna only after the Grand Alliance fell apart. Where is Rahul Gandhi, who was roaming here earlier and misleading people during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)? Is it not the moral responsibility of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav to sit together and settle the seat-sharing issue with maturity?” Paswan asked.

He claimed that the alliance has collapsed beyond repair, citing internal rivalries and conflicting candidates.

They have fielded candidates against each other in 10 to 12 seats. Suppose a district has six constituencies—if they are fighting each other in one, how can they convince voters in the remaining five that they are united? They don’t know how to form, manage and maintain alliances,” Paswan said.

Chirag Paswan claimed NDA united under Nitish Kumar:

Chirag Paswan contrasted the infighting within the opposition bloc with the unity inside the NDA, emphasizing that all alliance partners have accepted Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

There is a clear conflict between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav over who will lead their alliance in this election. In contrast, NDA allies are united under Nitish Kumar. No one has objected to his leadership. We have finalized seat-sharing, announced candidates, filed nominations, and now campaigning on the ground,” he said.

Chirag Paswan also took a swipe at opposition leaders, questioning the Chief Minister’s health.’

“Those who talk about Nitish Kumar’s health should see that he is actively campaigning. I want to ask the Grand Alliance leaders—what are you doing? Why have you not come out of your AC rooms and gone for the campaign?” he said.

Drawing parallels to the Haryana election, Paswan claimed the BJP-led NDA would replicate the same success in Bihar.

“People of Bihar understand that the Grand Alliance cannot be trusted with power. The way we won in Haryana, the same result will be seen here too. Congress was defeated there, and the Grand Alliance will be defeated here,” he asserted.

Earlier in the day, the Congress election in-charge and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gahlot arrived in Patna and met RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, insisting that all is well within the alliance and announcing a joint press conference on Thursday.
