Chandigarh-Dibrugarh train derailed in Gonda.
Lucknow July 18: Twelve bogies of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh (15904) super fast express train derailed in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
Four passengers reportedly died in this mishap. The officials of the Indian Railway suspect that the toll may rise later on. The incident occurred near Jhilahi railway station in the district.
A large number of passengers are injured in this accident. They were admitted to the nearby hospitals. The district administration of Gonda and railway officials reached the spot and initiated the rescue operation.
The eyewitnesses have said that the rescue operation was first started by the local villagers.
