BSEB releases STET 2025 results; over 2.56 lakh candidates qualified.

Patna, January 5, 2025: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Monday released the results of the STET 2025, a crucial examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in the secondary schools across Bihar.
The results were formally announced by ESEB chairman Anand Kishore at the board headquarters in Patna.
With the declaration of the result, successful candidates have now become eligible to participate in the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination, marking a significant step toward government teaching appointments in the state.
Chairman Anand Kishore informed that the STET 2025 results have been uploaded on the official website bsebtest.org.
Candidates can access and download their scorecards by logging in with their user ID and password.
He advised candidates facing technical issues to try accessing the website again after some time.
Overall participation and success rate of STET 2025:
Anand Kishore informed that a total of 4,42,214 candidates participated in STET 2025, combining Paper-1 and Paper-2 and 2,56,301 candidates qualified for the examination.
Among them, 1,52,134 male and 1,04,167 female candidates. The total pass percentage of the candidates was 57.96%
Paper 1 was conducted for 16 subjects, in which 154,145 candidates were successful.
The success rate for Paper 1 was 62.56%.
Meanwhile, Paper 2 for classes 11 and 12 saw 195,799 candidates participate, with 102,156 candidates being successful.
The success rate was 52.17%. Overall, in the 150-mark computer-based test, a total of 256,301 candidates were successful, and the overall success rate was 57.56%.
The success rate for women was 58%, while the success rate for men was over 57%.
Anand Kishore said that in this examination too, the pass percentage for women was higher than that of men.
The STET 2025 examination was conducted from October 14 to November 16, 2025, in two shifts across 23 examination centres located in nine districts, including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Munger, Saharsa, Bhojpur, and Purnea.
The minimum qualification qualifying mark was fixed for the general category was 50%, other backward classes at 45.5%, extremely backward classes at 42.5%, SC/ST, differently-abled and women candidates 40%.
Anand Kishore clarified that a large number of objections were received regarding the physics paper answer key, which were duly examined before the final results were prepared.
Chairman’s message:
While releasing the results, the BSEB chairman congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged those who did not qualify to remain motivated.
“Candidates who could not clear the examination should not be disheartened. With better preparation, they will surely succeed in the future,” he said.
