Patna, September 6, 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the admit cards for the 71st preliminary examination scheduled on September 13.
However, in a new move aimed at transparency and security, the admit cards do not mention the examination centres’ names or addresses.
Instead, candidates will see only a centre code on their admit cards.
The detailed information regarding examination centres will be uploaded on each candidate’s dashboard on September 11, just two days before the examination.
The BPSC prelims examination will take place in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 PM. The candidate must arrive by 11 AM; the gate will close thereafter.
The candidate should carry the admit card along with an extra copy for entry. Roll number and barcode must be clearly visible.
Candidate can download their admit cards by visiting BPSConline.bihar.gov.in, logging in, and entering the required details such as date of birth.
BPSC has opted for new security and transparency measures:
The Controller of Examinations informed that examination centres are allotted through software, with an effort to assign 90%of female candidates to centres closest to their home districts.
Security arrangements, including mobile phone jammers at all centres and CCTV monitoring during the exam.
To maintain fairness, BPSC has also introduced a new complaint mechanism.
If any irregularities or objections arise during the examination, candidates may file a complaint within 48 hours, supported by a notarized affidavit.
Complaints can be submitted at the district level or directly to BPSC via e-mail or other means.
The commission clarified that only written, verified complaints will be entertained, and no action will be taken on rumours.
Advisory for candidates:
BPSC has appealed to candidates to maintain discipline and follow the prescribed rules.
Arriving two and a half hours before the exam is strongly advised to avoid a last-minute rush.
