BJP MLA Pawan Yadav received an extortion call from Pakistan.

Patna, April 1, 2024:  Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Pawan Yadav has claimed that he received an extortion call from Pakistan on Monday, in which the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh and threatened to kill his family if the demand was not fulfilled.

According to Yadav, the call came from the number +92 3486747773 at 10:57 am on Monday.

“I received a call from the phone number +92 3486747773 at 10:57 am. The caller asked about my son, Pratush Yadav, and then started abusing me. He demanded Rs. 50 lakh and threatened to kill my entire family if I didn’t meet his demand,” Yadav said.

Pawan Yadav lodged an FIR in Bhagalpur:

The BJP MLA immediately lodged a written complaint at the local police station and informed the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Bhagalpur about the incident.

Following the complaint, the Bhagalpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has formed a special investigation team to probe the matter.

Pawan Yadav is an MLA from Kahalgaon:

Pawan Yadav had contested and won the 2020 Bihar Assembly election from the Kahalgaon constituency on a BJP ticket.
