Patna, May 14, 2024: A political tussle broke out between the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patna on Tuesday with both parties accusing each other of tarnishing reputations and filing FIRs over alleged misinformation.

Allegations from BJP leaders:

VIP national president Mukesh Sahani alleged that the saffron party leaders had misused the name of his party while inducting a person named Ashok Chouhan.

“The saffron party leaders recently inducted Ashok Chouhan and falsely claimed that he was the state president of VIP. This is completely untrue—he holds no position in my party and is a government officer,” Sahani said.

Calling the saffron party ‘’the biggest lie party in the world,” Sahani added that he had lodged an FIR against the saffron party leaders at the Kankarbagh police station in Patna.

In retaliation, the saffron party leaders filed an FIR against Mukesh Sahani at the Kotwali police station, accusing the VIP of misusing the photograph of the BJP state president Samrat Choudhary.

The BJP leader joined the VIP:

According to the complaint, the VIP’s official Facebook account had uploaded a post showing a photo of Mukesh Sahani with Samrat Choudhary, falsely suggesting that the BJP leader had joined the VIP.

The exchange of allegations has further strained relations between the two parties, which were once allies in Bihar’s political landscape.
