Patna, December 30, 2025: The results of the written examination for Driver Constable Recruitment in the Bihar Police were declared on Monday.
A total of 15,516 candidates have successfully cleared the written test and are now eligible to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
According to official data, around 1,16 lakh candidates had appeared for the written examination conducted across various districts of Bihar to fill 4,361 vacant posts of driver constables.
Male candidates dominate the merit list of the Bihar police examination:
Out of the 15,516 successful candidates, a significant majority are men.
Among them, 15,054 male candidates, 461 female candidates, and 1 transgender candidate qualified for the examination.
Candidates who have qualified in the written examination will now appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is likely to be conducted in March 2026. After successfully clearing the PET, candidates will be selected for appointment as driver constables in the Bihar Police.
Appointment process to begin in the New Year:
The recruitment process aims to fill 4,361 driver constable vacancies. Appointment letters will be issued to candidates who clear all stages of the selection process, including the PET, in the New Year.
This recruitment drive is expected to significantly strengthen the Bihar Police force and provide employment opportunities to thousands of youth across the state.
