Patna, May 28, 2024: Ace Bhojpuri actor and singer Khesari Lal Yadav on Tuesday campaigned for prominent Bhojpuri star and independent candidate Pawan Singh in the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency.
Khesari Lal Yadav appealed electors to vote for Pawan Singh:
Addressing a massive gathering at Bikram Inter College ground, Khesari Lal Yadav said,” Pawan Singh is the voice of the people, and that is why a candidate like him is needed here. He will become your voice in Parliament too. So, vote for him and send him to Parliament.”
Calling Pawan Singh his “elder brother,” Khesari praised his struggle and generosity. “I admire the struggle of Pawan Singh. He has always helped those in need and stood with the people. The people of Karakat appreciate this spirit. Pawan Singh wants to do a lot for the development of Karakat. Make him MP with a royal victory,” he added.

The event witnessed a massive turnout, with thousands gathering to catch a glimpse of the Bhojpuri stars. At one point, the crowd began to intervene. The crowd broke barricades, rushed towards the stage, and some even climbed onto Khesari Lal Yadav’s SUV.
The Karakat Lok Sabha constituency will go to the polls in the seventh and final phase on June 1. Upendra Kushwaha is contesting from the NDA on a Rashtriya Lok Morcha ticket, while Rajaram Singh Kushwaha of the CPI-ML is the Grand Alliance candidate. With Pawan Singh’s presence, the contest has turned triangular in Karakat.
