Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 101st birth anniversary is observed with a state-level event in Patna.

Patna, December 25, 2025: On the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a state-level event was organized at Patliputra Park, Patna, on Thursday.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid a heartfelt tribute to the late leader by garlanding his statue.

On the occasion, artists from the Information and Public Relations Department performed Aarti-Pujan, sang the Bihar state anthem, and presented patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of reverence and nationalism.

Among those who paid floral tributes were Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Bihar Rural Work Minister Ashok Choudhary, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, former speaker of the Bihar Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav and many other senior leaders of the NDA.

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) also commemorated Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary at the BJP state office.

The event was attended by BJP state President Sanjay Saraogi, both Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, cabinet ministers, and several senior party leaders.

Leaders remember Vajpayee’s legacy:

After paying tributes, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the day holds great significance.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s thoughts and guidance continue to inspire us. We are following the path shown by him and will always uphold his ideals,” he said.

BJP state President Sanjay Saraogi recalled Vajpayee’s special affection for Bihar.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a deep connection with Bihar. He always used to say, ‘The people of Bihar are Biharis, and I am Atal Bihari Vajpayee.” He gave a lot to the state,” Saraogi said.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that Vajpayee’s vision laid the foundation for a strong and self-reliant India.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee envisioned a self-reliant Bihar and a fear-free, corruption-free India. He instilled pride in the children of Mother India and initiated the era of a powerful nation. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fulfilling those dreams,” he said.

Leaders across party lines remember Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a visionary statesman, a poet-politician, and a leader who strengthened India’s democracy, unity, and global stature.
