Ashwini Vaishnaw conducts a surprise inspection of railway stations in Bihar.

Patna, July 7, 2025: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw conducted surprise inspections at several railway stations in Bihar on Monday, reviewing the progress of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme works.
The inspection began from Patna and covered stations under Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, and other stations of the Sonpur divisions under East Central Railway (ECR).
Ashwini Vaishnaw was accompanied by top officials and leaders:
Vaishnaw was accompanied by ECR General Manager, Sonpur DRM, and Darbhanga MP Gopal Ji Thakur.
At 10 AM, Vaishnaw inspected Hajipur Junction before visiting Digha Ghat station.
Reacting officials’ arrangement of a wooden ladder to board the train, the union railway minister chose to inspect the train coach like common passengers.
At Karpoorigram (Samastipur), Ashwini Vaishnaw garlanded the statue of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur and laid foundation stones for station redevelopment and a road under bridge project.

“We have laid the foundation stones for key projects like ROBs and station redevelopment,” Vajshnaw said.
The Railway Minister also conducted field inspections of passenger facilities and station surroundings to assess ground realities.
Special security and vigilance were deployed across all stations visited.
Ashwini Vaishnaw’s inspection is important ahead of Prime Minister’s visit:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on July 18. The Railway Minister’s visit is seen as significant ahead of the PM’s tour.
