Ashok Chaudhary said engineers of Bihar would be trained by IIT experts to prevent bridge collapses.

Patna, June 30, 2025: Taking frequent bridge collapses in Bihar seriously, Ashok Chaudhary, the Rural Work Minister of the Bihar Government said that the engineers of Bihar would be trained by IIT experts.
The state government organized a special workshop on Monday where all engineers under the Rural Works department were trained by IIT experts.
The objective of the training is to provide technical guidelines to improve bridge quality and prevent future collapses.
“The government faced severe criticism due to the collapse of two bug bridges last year. Now, we have decided that there will be no compromise on quality. IIT Experts are guiding engineers to build durable and safe bridges,” said Ashok Chaudhary while addressing the media in Patna on Monday.
Ashok Chaudhary slams Tejashwi Yadav over Waqf minority remarks:
Responding sharply to Tejashwi Yadav’s statement that Nitish Kumar is trying to woo the Muslim vote bank, Minister Ashok Chaudhary said: “Such rhetoric suits those who consider themselves the contractors of the ‘M-Y (Muslim-Yadav) equation’. Muslim brothers should ask what was done for minorities during the 15 years when their parents’ government was in power. How many universities, schools, or training centers were opened for minorities? How many people got jobs?”

He emphasized that Nitish Kumar’s government has done concrete work for minority communities, focusing on education, training, and employment.
“We believe in inclusive development. Our leader has clearly said that work will be done for those who vote and those who do not. We practice politics of development, not caste and religion,” Chaudhary added.
Ready for open debate with Tejashwi:
On Tejashwi Yadav’s remark that “Nitish Kumar did nothing in 20 years,” Ashok Chaudhary challenged the RJD leader for an open debate.

“Tejashwi Yadav should clarify what Nitish Kumar did not do. I am ready for an open debate with him on this issue. Lying and making statements has become a habit of the opposition, but the people of Bihar are now seeing and understanding everything,” Chaudhary said.
