Patna, April 10, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress leadership, accusing the party of remaining silent after one of its leaders allegedly spoke about “another division” of the country.
Addressing an election rally in Guraru Gaya district, Shah said, “You divided the country once in 1947, and now you are talking about another division. Shockingly, neither Rahul Gandhi nor Sonia Gandhi made a single statement on it. I want to tell them—Narendra Modi is ruling the country, and we will not allow you to do it again.”
Calling Congress a party that “believes in appeasement politics, “Shah said, “Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi practiced appeasement, and now Rahul Gandhi is doing the same. They are even advocating bringing Muslim personal law to the country.”
Amit Shah blamed Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi for the construction of the Ram temple:
Shah also accused Congress and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of delaying the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completing the task.
“Modiji won the legal battle and constructed the grand Ram temple. He performed the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22, and now Ram Lalla will celebrate his birthday on April 17. He has turned the impossible into possible,” Shah said.
Explaining why Narendra Modi should be elected as Prime Minister for the third time, Amit Shah said, “It means making India the world’s third-largest economy, ensuring the success of missions like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan, and ending terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir, the North-east, and Maoist-affected regions.”

The Home Minister Amit Shah also praised Modi for honoring former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur with the Bharat Ratna, saying, “Lalu Prasad Yadav insulted Karpoori Thakur, but PM Modi gave him Bharat Ratna, thereby giving respect to all extremely backward caste communities.”
Taking aim at the RJD, Shah said, “RJD leaders have objected to Ramcharitmanas and Vande Mataram. They can only do corruption, not development. Congress and RJD together have done scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore and are still not satisfied.”
Appealing to voters, he added, “The people of Bihar gave us 31 seats in 2014 and 39 in 2019. This time, I appeal to you to give us all 40 seats.”
Highlighting development initiatives, Shah said Aurangabad has set records in welfare delivery—2.30 lakh people received Ayushman Bharat cards, 2,25 lakh got LPG gas connections, 3 lakh householders received tap water connections, and 1.80 lakh farmers benefited from direct bank transfers of Rs 6,000 each.
He lauded the Nitish Kumar—Samrat Choudhary government for implementing central welfare schemes effectively across Bihar and assured that the Modi government will also ensure that depositors get their pending money from Sahara India.
