Patna, September 1, 2025: With the Bihar Assembly polls approaching, Amit Shah has convened a crucial meeting in Delhi on September 3, which is being viewed as the final word on the NDA’s seat-sharing formula.

PM Modi and Amit Shah in action:

The meeting will be attended by senior BJP leaders from Bihar, including state president Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha and Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Nityanand Rai.

Sources in the party suggest that the NDA’s seat-sharing knot—which has long been a sticking point between BJP and JDU—may finally be resolved.

Adding to the build-up, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to get directly involved in Bihar politics.

On September 2, PM Modi will virtually inaugurate and dedicate projects worth several crores in Bihar.

On September 13, he will personally visit Bihar to inaugurate the Purnea airport, a long-pending demand of the Seemanchal region.

NDA strategy of development:

Meanwhile NDA worker conference is being held across the state, where leaders are showcasing the achievements of the Nitish Kumar government while aggressively reminding voters of Jungle Raj under RJD.

The BJP-JDU alliance is clearly pitching the election as a contest between development and anarchy.

The seat-sharing dilemma and Amit Shah monitoring closely:

The 2020 Assembly results underline way this issue is sensitive.

NDA won 125 seats, including BJP 74, JDU 43, HAM 4 and VIP 4.

Grand Alliance won 110 seats, including RJD 75, Congress 19, CPI-ML 12, CPI 2 and CPIM 2 seats.

Since then, political equations have shifted as Mukesh Sahani-led VIP has joined the Grand Alliance, and Chirag Paswan-led LJP, Ram Vilas and Upendra Kushwaha-led RLM have returned to the NDA.

With the 2020 vote difference between NDA and the Grand Alliance being a narrow 2%, each seat holds huge weight.

While the BJP is pushing to play the Big Brother with a larger share of seats, the JDU is unwilling to cede ground on its traditional strongholds.

Amit Shah’s September 3 meeting is being seen as the decisive round of negotiations.
