Airport Authority suspended flight operation from Terminal-1.

New Delhi June 28: After the roof of Terminal-1 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport collapsed on Friday claiming one life and 8 injured, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has suspended all flight operations for an indefinite period.

According to an official, until the construction and repair works are fixed, the flights of T-1 are shifted to Terminal-2 and Terminal-3.

Delhi Airport operator DIAL said that a technical committee has been formed to investigate the roof collapse incident and submit its report soon. The other related agencies including DGCA, Civil Aviation Bureau, CISF, Delhi Police and NDRF are working jointly and will restore operations as soon as possible.

IGI Airport Deputy Commissioner of Police Usha Rangnani said that a case has been registered at the airport police station in New Delhi regarding this incident.
