Patna, September 18, 2025: Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Thursday asserted that Bihar’s future lies with the NDA, declaring that the stronger the NDA, the more prosperous Bihar will be.
Addressing a meeting of selected BJP workers from 10 districts of the Shahabad and Magadh regions, Shah launched a sharp attack on the opposition, particularly RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav.
“Prosperity never comes from a reign of crime. Bihar cannot develop under Lalu, Rabri, or Tejashwi,” Shah said, urging workers to ensure NDA victories in 80% of seats in the region.
Amit Shah contrasted the BJP’s organizational style with rivals, saying, In other parties, leaders win elections, but in the BJP, workers win elections.”
Amit Shah targeted Rahul Gandhi without taking his name:
Shah also took aim at the Congress, terming Rahul Gandhi’s Voter-Adhikar-Yatra as a save-the-infiltrators’ movement.
“Do infiltrators have the right to vote? Should they get ration cards, Ayushman cards or Voter cards?” he asked, while appealing to workers to highlight the NDA government’s welfare measures, including 125 units of free electricity and increased social security pensions.

Amit Shah further alleged that the RJD has only brought corruption, scandals, citing the fodder scam, land for job scam, and others.
“Lalu Yadav cannot do in his entire life what the NDA has achieved,” he said, adding, “On one side is the corrupt government, on the other side is Narendra Modi, who has not a single stain of corruption.”
Amit Shah appreciated PM Modi:
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Shah said, PM Modi has served as a PM and CM for 24 years without taking a single day’s leave.”
In a veiled swipe at Rahul Gandhi, he remarked, “There is another leader in this country who goes abroad for vacation every 6 months.”
Highlighting the NDA achievements, Amit Shah listed airstrikes against Pakistan, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the upcoming grand Sita temple in Sitamarhi, alongside economic reforms like reduced GST slabs.

Admitting that BJP’s 2020 Assembly election performance in Shahbad and Magadh was weak—with the party winning just 2 out of 20 seats in the Shahabad belt—Shah said, “We need better performance here to ensure an NDA majority in Bihar. Workers must go door-to-door and take the achievements of the double-engine government to the people.”
