Patna, August 9, 2025: Former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday said he has already sent a written reply to the Election Commission regarding the allegation that he holds two Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) numbers.
Speaking to the reporters at Patna Airport, Tejashwi Yadav said, “The reply has already been sent to the Election Commission. Nothing will happen by making unnecessary news on this issue.”
Patna SDP had served a second notice to Tejashwi Yadav on August 8:
On August 8, the Patna SDM, who is also an Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) issued a second notice to Tejashwi Yadav, alleging that he possessed two EPIC numbers and that the one he displayed during a press conference on August 2, 2025, was fake.
Yadav has previously claimed that those responsible for issuing two EPIC numbers are now questioning him.
Tejashwi Yadav slammed Amit Shah:
The RJD leader also lashed out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing him of making repeated promises without delivering on key issues.

Amit Shah comes here and repeats his promises all the time. Why is he not talking about the progress of Bihar—about ending unemployment, price rise, migration, poverty, improving education and health? Bihar will not benefit from abusing Lalu Prasad Yadav and me. They are negative people and do negative politics. It won’t affect anyone,” he said.
“Amit Shah may come here and stay here, but the people of Bihar will not give him anything,” Yadav said.
