Patna January 2, 2025: Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Independent MP from Purnea, has announced a rail Chakka Jam on January 3, demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC PT exam.

He also plans to block all national and state highways across Bihar on the same day. These actions are aimed at supporting the BPSC candidates alleging irregularities in the exam.

“We had discussed the issue with the Governor but the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has taken no substantive decision to resolve the matter. The BPSC is accused of conducting a limited re-examination on January 4 for the Bapu Examination Centre in Patna, which is insufficient,” Yadav said.

Candidates’ demands:

Students are demanding the cancellation of the entire 70th BPSC Pt exam, citing widespread irregularities.

They reject the BPSC’s decision to restrict re-examination to the Bapu Examination Centre and insist on an overhaul of the entire exam process.

This protest underscores the escalating dissatisfaction among candidates and intensifies the pressure on the BPSC to address these grievances comprehensively.

Earlier, the BPSC  announced the rescheduled date for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination, which was cancelled at the Bapu Examination Centre in Patna on December 13 due to an uproar. The examination will now be conducted on January 4, 2025.

A notification regarding this decision was issued on December 19, 2024, by the office of the Examination Controller Of BPSC. The commission stated that the decision was made in the interest of the candidates to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.
