Patna, September 5, 2024: Nityanand Rai, the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home, has intensified his criticism of the leader of the opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, by claiming that the RJD is responsible for a significant portion of the unlawful activities in Bihar.
Nityanand Rai criticized Tejashwi Yadav:
During an interaction with the media persons at Patna Airport, Nityanand Rai accused RJD of sheltering offenders, saying, “It is the tradition of RJD. If RJD workers stop their unlawful activities, cases would drastically decline in Bihar.”
“Tejashwi Yadav is publicly attacking the Bihar government, but he is responsible for encouraging these acts in the state. He himself is leading such elements, then what can he teach others?” Nityanand Rai said.
Neeraj Kumar, the MLC of JD (U), echoed similar sentiments. He challenged Tejashwi Yadav to release statistics of unlawful activities from the time when the Grand Alliance government was in power.
The remarks of Nityanand Rai and Neeraj Kumar came in response to the bulletin of unlawful incidents released by Tejashwi Yadav to criticize the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar on Wednesday.
Tejashwi Yadav released the data on unlawful activities:
Tejashwi Yadav listed 105 unlawful incidents on X (Formerly Twitter) from recent days to underscore his concerns about the law-and-order situation under Nitish Kumar’s administration.

He wrote, “Even after seeing the figures of these unlawful incidents, you are seeing everything right in Bihar, then it means that everything is not right.”
The ongoing back-and-forth reflects the deepening political revelry, with Yadav using data to pressure Nitish Kumar, while JD (U) and BJP leaders attribute the state’s challenges to the RJD’s history.
