Patna, May 28, 2024: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday attacked the INDI alliance, alleging that it has fielded a Naxal candidate for the Arrah Lok Sabha constituency.

“Communists are being eliminated from the entire world. They have been wiped out from West Bengal, and here, a Naxal has been made a candidate,” Yogi said while addressing a rally in Arrah.

“Such a person is a threat to the safety of your daughters and businessmen. The INDI Alliance wants to put your security at risk and create anarchy in the state,” he added.

Under the seat-sharing arrangement, the Grand Alliance has allotted the Arrah seat to CPI(ML), which has fielded Sudama Prasad, MLA from Tarari Assembly constituency, to take on BJP’s Raj Kumar Singh. With his statement, Yogi Adityananth also took a direct swipe at RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for supporting the CPI (ML) candidate.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted the achievements of the NDA government:

Highlighting BJP’s achievements, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, there is development, welfare of the poor, and a sense of security. We built the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi. On the other hand, Congress and the RJD have only betrayed the people. They seek votes but serve their own families once in power. Lalu Prasad Yadav cannot think beyond his family.”

Yogi Adityanath pointed out his government’s efforts during the pandemic:

Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic, Yogi said, “During that crisis, did anyone see Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, or members of the Lalu family? It was the BJP and RSS workers who risked their lives to help people. The Aam Aadmi Party, part of the INDI Alliance, forced thousands of Biharis to leave Delhi. I arranged over 14,000 buses from the Delhi border to bring them home and gave them shelter in Uttar Pradesh.”

Polling in the Arrah Lok Sabha constituency will take place in the seventh phase on June 1, and results will be declared on June 4.
