Patna, April 27, 2024: Union Minister and BJP Begusarai candidate Giriraj Singh on Saturday launched a fierce attack on the Congress party, accusing it of “slitting the throats of the Hindus” by including Muslims in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters in Begusarai, Singh alleged that the Congress and its allies in the INDI bloc were competing for the Muslim vote bank.
“Congress has slit the throats of the Hindu people. Its leaders have snatched the constitutional rights of Hindus. The fight in the INDI alliance is about who will capture the Muslim vote,” he said.
Giriraj Singh on Karnataka verdict:
Singh questioned the silence of Bihar leaders on the Karnataka decision.
“Why are leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav silent? What does Congress want? Are they planning to trigger a civil war? Do they want OBC people to take to the streets?” Singh asked
Giriraj Singh criticises the opposition:
On the issue of electoral bonds, Singh dismissed the opposition’s criticism of the BJP.
“Lalu Prasad Yadav first took donations from a liquor company. Now they are targeting BJP leaders over electoral bonds. Everything is clear and transparent here,” he asserted.
Giriraj Singh is seeking re-election from Begusarai, where voting will take place in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
