Patna, April 23, 2024: As election campaigning reaches its peak in Bihar, political rhetoric has turned sharply personal. RJD spokesperson Urmila Thakur launched a blistering attack on Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan, calling him a “fake Hanuman without a tail” during a workers’ meeting in Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.

Urmila Thakur said, “How will Chirag Paswan, who grew up in the lap of a mother who destroyed other people’s houses, understand the pain of the poor?”

Urmila Thakur criticized Chirag Paswan:

Accusing Chirag Paswan of fearing corruption probes, she added, “Chirag Paswan is scared that his scams might be investigated. Hence, he declared himself as Hanuman, but I want to tell him that he is a fake Hanuman without a tail.”

Thakur, a native of Begusarai, also made a personal remark about the late Ram Vilas Paswan’s family life, claiming, “Ram Vilas Paswan had a marriage with a girl from Begusarai, and she was his first wife. The mother of Chirag Paswan had destroyed her house.”

Urmila Thakur’s remark came just before polling in the Hajipur Lok Sabha Seat:

Ram Vilas Paswan’s first wife is Rajkumari Devi.

The remarks come amid a high-stakes contest in Hajipur, where Chirag Paswan is campaigning vigorously to retain his party’s stronghold.
