Vijay Kumar Chaudhary claimed CM Nitish Kumar had not touched the feet of PM Narendra Modi.

Patna: Cabinet minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Monday claimed CM Nitish Kumar did not touch the feet of PM Narendra Modi during the rally in Nawada.

The statement of Vijay Kumar Chaudhary came a day after a video went viral on the social media where CM Nitish Kumar was touching the feet of PM Narendra Modi during the rally in Nawada held on Sunday. Following that incident, leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav said it is embarrassing for him that CM NItish Kumar touched the feet of PM Narendra Modi. The suncitynews.com has not confirmed the video.

“Someone observed from a distance and made the statement but I was on the stage. The Chief Minister has not touched his feet. In the visual running on social media, CM Nitish Kumar was holding the hand of PM Narendra Modi,” Chaudhary said.

“They are not talking about the development and issues of the common people in this election. Who is looking at whom or touching the body are not the issues of election. It is a sign of political bankruptcy,” Chaudhary said on the statement of Tejashwi Yadav.

Earlier on Sunday, Tejashwi Yadav said that Nitish Kumar is his guardian and one of the senior most leaders of the country. He is staying on the post of chief minister for many years. He returned the financial aides of the then CM of Gujarat Narendra Modi during the flood in Bihar. Nitish Kumar always said that the era of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Adwani was different from the current regime of BJP.

Tejashwi Yadav on Monday said: “It is embarrassing for me that he has touched the feet of PM Narendra Modi. CM Nitish Kumar was taking on PM Naendra Modi and HM Amit Shah one and half or two months ago. He was saying that they were doing false publicity. They have captured all media organizations.”

“When I was with him in Bihar, he was always talking about promotion of the next generation. Tejashwi was doing well. He will look after the politics of Bihar in future. Now, we are wrong and they are right,” Yadav said.

Nitish Kumar is our respected guardian but what has happened to him. Now, he is touching the feet of PM Modi. It is not only me but the 99% people of JD-U are not liking all this,” Yadav said.
