Patna, December 17, 2025: Following the Bihar Assembly election results and the formation of the new NDA government, Leader of the Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Tejashwi Yadav has remained noticeably absent from the state.
Seizing on this absence, the Bihar unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a provocative poster on social media, declaring Tejashwi Yadav “missing.”
The missing poster of Tejashwi Yadav was shared on the BJP Bihar unit official account:
The Poster, shared on the Bihar BJP’s official social media handles, features a photograph of Tejashwi Yadav with the caption “Missing” prominently displayed. It further described his “identity” as a “ninth-grade dropout” and claims he was last seen “running away while hiding his face from the media.”
The poster has quickly gone viral, triggering sharp reactions across political circles.
In the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, the RJD was reduced to just 25 seats, significantly weakening its position in the House and making the role of the opposition particularly challenging.

Although Tejashwi Yadav took the oath as an MLA during the winter session of the Assembly.
He attended the first and second day of the assembly session, but he did not attend the remaining three days, raising questions about his engagement as leader of the opposition.
Media reports suggest that Tejashwi Yadav left Bihar shortly after the assembly session began and later travelled to Europe.
However, no official statement has been issued regarding the purpose or duration of his trip, nor has a confirmed return date been announced.
Tejashwi Yadav’s absence may turn problematic for RJD in the future:
Political observers believe that the prolonged absence of the Leader of the Opposition from the state could prove problematic for the RJD.

Analysts note that at a time when legislative scrutiny and opposition participation are crucial, Tejashwi Yadav’s absence has provided the ruling alliance with an opportunity to intensify its political offensive.
The BJP’s poster has further sharpened political tensions in Bihar, with responses from the RJD expected as the controversy unfolds.
