Patna, November 26, 2025: After the Bihar Building Construction Department allotted a new government residence to former CM Rabri Devi, the RJD  state president Mangni Lal Mandal has strongly opposed the order directing her to vacate her long-time home at 10 Circular Road, Patna.

Mangni Lal Mandal issued a sharp statement declaring that the party will not vacate the residence under any circumstances.

Mangni Lal Mandal said it is a conspiracy against Rabri Devi:

Mangni Lal Mandal accused the government of acting with malice, saying, “We will not vacate Rabri Devi’s residence under any circumstances. Whatever is required will be done.”

He further claimed that the decision was taken deliberately to insult the Lalu Prasad Yadav family.

Nitish Kumar has been the Chief Minister for 20 years. Why has this residence not been vacated till now? Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi are both former Chief Ministers. This is a conspiracy to humiliate the Lalu family, driven by political vendetta,” Mandal said.

Mangni Lal Mandal also targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that Kumar is now regretting his decision to hand over the Home Department to the BJP.

“The BJP has taken away the Home Ministry from Nitish Kumar. Now, he is realizing it was a mistake. He is trying to please PM Narendra Modi and the RSS.

On Tuesday evening, the Building Construction Department issued a notice and allotted 39 Hardinge Road bungalow to Rabri Devi, which means she has to vacate the 10 Circular Road Bungalow where she was residing for the last 20 years.

She has now been allotted 39 Harginge Road as her new residence.

The move has triggered intense political reactions.

Rohini Acharya’s strong response:

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya reacted sharply on X, writing, “Sushasan Babu’s development model. Insulting Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Messiah of crores of poor people, is the first priority. You will throw him out of the house, but how will you remove him from the hearts of the people of Bihar? If not his health, at least you should have respect for Lalu Prasad’s political stature.”

Reacting to the RJD’s allegation, JDU MLC and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Lalu Prasad Yadav was once again trapped in an illusion.

“Lalu Yadav got caught in the web of illusion at the fourth stage of his life. The illusion of family brought him before the judiciary; the illusion of property sent him to jail. And now the illusion of a government bungalow is surrounding him.”
