Patna, October 28, 2025: The Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance, Tejashwi Yadav, on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the NDA leaders, accusing them of wanting to turn Bihar into an “upnivesh” (colony).
Speaking at the launch of the joint manifesto of the Grand Alliance for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, Tejashwi said the alliance’s 25-point manifesto was prepared after extensive research and consultations with experts. “These points will be implemented once the Grand Alliance forms the government in Bihar. One of the major promises is to provide one government job to one member of every family,” he said.
Tejashwi Yadav declared that the NDA is visionless:
Tejashwi also questioned the NDA over its leadership and vision for Bihar.
“The Grand Alliance has announced its Chief Ministerial face, but the NDA hasn’t. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and other senior BJP leaders are coming to Bihar for campaigning, yet none have said that Nitish Kumar will continue as Chief Minister after the polls.

They have no blueprint for Bihar’s development—they are visionless people,” he alleged.
He added, “We are thinking about how to make Bihar the number one state, while they are thinking about how to capture it.”
Tejashwi Yadav urged officials to work honestly:
The RJD leader also raised questions about the heavy deployment of security forces and alleged political interference in the administrative machinery.
“For the first time, 1,500 companies of paramilitary forces are being deployed for an election. I know that some officials have received instructions during video conferences two or three days ago,” Tejashwi claimed.
“I want to remind these officials that they have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution. Please don’t turn Bihar into an Upnivesh. Don’t allow dictatorship or vote theft. The people and the Grand Alliance are alert this time,” he warned.

Tejashwi further alleged that officials were being told to slow down in polling booths where Grand Alliance candidates are strong.
“We will record every polling station. The people of Bihar will not allow deceitful and dictatorial policies to succeed. I urge all government officials—perform their duties honestly, without bias, and in accordance with the Constitution,” he said.
Tejashwi asserted that the people of Bihar were ready for change. “They now have an opportunity on November 6 and November 11 to bring in a government focused on jobs, education, and development—and they will not miss it this time,” he said.
Tejashwi also criticized the incumbent administration for alleged corruption and governance failure, citing the Srijan scam, the Muzaffarpur shelter-home case, and a CAG-flagged Rs 70,000 crore irregularity.
He accused the bureaucracy of drowning elected representatives’ voices and said that must end.
Outlining the manifesto’s development goals, Tejashwi promised a jobs-and-investment-focused agenda: industries, food-processing units, agro-based projects, IT parks, world-class universities, and super-specialty hospitals for Bihar.
“Whatever points mentioned in the manifesto, we will fulfill them—even at the cost of our lives,” he declared.
