Patna, October 24, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kick-started the Bihar Assembly election campaign from the soil of Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur in Samastipur on Friday, launching a sharp attack on the RJD and Congress, accusing them of prioritizing their families over the people of Bihar.
Addressing a massive rally, PM Modi said, “The RJD and Congress are only concerned about their own political future. That’s why they are setting new records in lying to the youth of Bihar. Where there is RJD, there can be no law and order. Under RJD rule, crime flourished as an industry.”
He alleged that the Jungle Raj under RJD ruined several generations of Bihar, adding that many of its leaders were out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores.”
PM Narendra Modi targeted Congress for stealing the title of Jan Nayak:
PM Modi further said, “Their habit of stealing is such that they are now trying to steal even the title of Jan Nayak. The people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to Karpoori Thakur.”
Invoking the legacy of Karpoori Thakur, PM Modi said his government had transformed good governance into prosperity inspired by the Jan Nayak.
Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the NDA will break all previous records of victory in Bihar. Today, there is no corner of Bihar where development work is not happening,” he said.

Highlighting the NDA development initiative, PM Narendra Modi asserted that the BJP-NDA government had provided three times more funds for Bihar’s development than the Congress regime.
“A six-lane highway is being built from Samastipur to Purnea, new railway lines are being laid, Vande Bharat trains are running, and new power plants are being set up,” he added.
Addressing farmers, especially makhana (Fox Nut) cultivators, Narendra Modi said the formation of a Makhana Board marked the beginning of a new revolution.
He also mentioned that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, over Rs 28,000 crore had been transferred directly to the accounts of Bihar’s small farmers.
Lauding the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, Narendra Modi said Rs 10,000 had been deposited into the bank accounts of 1.2 crore women in Bihar.
“After November 14, when the NDA government returns, even more incentives will be provided to lakhs of sisters to boost employment,” he said.
Narendra Modi also greeted the people ahead of Chhath Puja, saying, “Even in such a busy festive time, you have come here in large numbers. The atmosphere in Samastipur and the mood of Mithila confirm the people’s faith in the NDA.”
PM Narendra Modi visited Karpoori Gram:
Earlier in the day, PM Narenbdra Modi visited Karpoori Gram, where he paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur.
“It is his blessings that people like us, from poor and backward families, are standing on this stage today,” he said, describing Thakur as a precious gem of Mother India who championed social justice.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to social equity, Narendra Modi said the PBJ-NDA government had given 10 percent reservation to the economically weaker sections of the general category and extended reservations for the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes for another decade.
