Chirag Paswan’s LJPRV released the first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar polls.

Patna, October 15, 2025: The Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV), led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, on Wednesday released its first list of 14 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election 2025.

Sharing the list on social media, the party extended congratulations to all its candidates and reiterated its commitment to Chirag Paswan’s vision of “Bihar First, Bihari First.”

The post read, “We are confident that you will play a vital role in realizing the dream of ‘Bihar First, Bihari First’ and in ensuring a historic and landslide victory for the double-engine NDA government.”

The announcement comes after prolonged seat-sharing talks within the NDA.

Chirag Paswan emerged as a tough bargainer for his party:

Chirag Paswan had reportedly insisted on 30 seats for his party.

Following several rounds of discussions in Patna and Delhi, the BJP eventually conceded 29 seats to Chirag Paswan’s party, leading to an agreement.

Prominent names in the first list, including Raju Tiwari, the LJPRV state president will contest from Govindganj in east Champaran district, Hulas Pandey from Brahmapur in Buxar district, Seemant Mrinal, the nephew of Chirag Paswan from Garkha (Reserved) in Saran district, Rajiv Ranjan Singh from Dehri, Sanjay Kumar from Bakhri, Babula;l Saurya from Parbatta, Mithun Kumar from Nathnagar, Sunil Kumar, from Paliganj, Sangeeta Kumari from Balrampur, Rani Kumari from Makhdumpur, Prakash Chandra from Obra, Sanjay Kumar Singh from Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Vishnu Dev Paswan from Darauli (SC Reserved), and Surendra Kumar from Sahebpur Kamal.  

LJPRV is contesting on 29 seats:

As per the seat-sharing formula within the NDA, BJP and JDU have been given 101 seats each, LJPRV on 29 seats, HAM on 6 seats and RLM on 6 seats.

However, disputes remain over some constituencies, including Makhdumpur, Bodh Gaya, Mahua and Chakai.
