Patna April 26: Despite the hot atmosphere, the voters are stepping out from their houses to use their voting rights in Bihar.

They have shown enthusiasm for voting in the second phase of Lok Sabha election and it is visible at the polling centers.

The voting for the five seats is currently underway in Bihar and a total of 9.84% polling was registered by the election commission till 9 am.

A maximum of 12.01% voting was registered in Katihar till 9 am on Friday. The contest of Katihar is taking place between Dulal Chandra Goswami of JD-U and Tariq Anwar of Congress.

Banka has also registered 10.65% polling till 9 am and the main contest is taking place between Giridhari Yadav of JD-U and Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav of RJD.

The election commission has registered 9.36% polling in Purnea till 9 am. The contest of Purnea has panned out triangular between Santosh Kushwaha of JD-U, Bima Bharti of RJD and Pappu Yadav independent.

The election commission has registered 8.92% polling in Bhagalpur. The main contest is taking place between Ajeet Sharma of Congress and Ajay Kumar Mandal of JD-U.

A total of 8.32 % polling registered in Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency. The contest of Kishanganj is also triangular between Mohammad Jawed of Congress, Mozahid Alam of JD-U and Akhtarul Iman of AIMIM.
