Patna, July 24, 2024: 18 people died in a major plane crash that occurred in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.
The Saurya Airlines CRJ-200ER aircraft carrying 19 people was en route to Pokhara. The crash occurred during the take-off at Tribhuvan International Airport around 11 am.
The emergency response team, including fire officers at the airport, promptly initiated the rescue operation following the accident.

The accident was captured by the passengers on their mobile phones at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Sources have said that one person was rescued and admitted to a private hospital.
Another plane crash had happened in Nepal in 2023 as well.
