Tejashwi Yadav promises welfare schemes for all sections if elected in 2025.

Patna January 7, 2025: Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, has launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, accusing it of failing to address key issues like poverty, migration, unemployment, and inflation.

While interacting with the media in Kaimur, Yadav claimed that despite 20 years of NDA rule, the condition of the poor in Bihar remains dire.

Tejashwi Yadav promises for economic justice:

Outlining his party’s plans if elected, Yadav announced a series of welfare measures.

Yadav pledged financial assistance of Rs.2,500 per month to every woman under this scheme, which would to implemented within a month of forming the government. “This scheme will provide economic justice and address the financial challenges faced by women,” Yadav said.

To tackle the issues arising from smart meters and high electricity bills, Tejashwi Yadav promised 200 units of free electricity for every household.

He criticized the current pension scheme, which provides only Rs. 400 per month, as inadequate. Yadav pledged to raise it to Rs.1,500 per month, ensuring better support for the elderly and widows.

Track record of delivering promises:

Defending the credibility of his party, Yadav cited the achievements of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during its previous tenure.

“We have a proven track record. During our 17 months in power, we provided 5 lakh jobs and created 3 lakh additional positions in various departments,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the land survey initiative introduced by the Nitish Kumar government has led to widespread corruption. “The survey has increased bribery cases in government departments, reflecting a lack of transparency and governance,” he stated.

Tejashwi Yadav’s proposals, including welfare schemes and measures to tackle unemployment and corruption, aim to present his party as a credible alternative to the current administration. He urged the people of Bihar to hold the government accountable for its failures and envision a state with better economic and social justice under RJD leadership.
