Tejashwi Yadav Promises Permanent Homes, Slams BJP-RSS at Bhuiya- Musahar Sammelan.

Patna, April 8, 2025: Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly advocated for the rights of marginalized communities during the Bhuiya-Mushar Sammelan held at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Thursday.
Addressing a massive gathering Yadav vowed to uplift the most deprived sections of society and accused the BJP-RSS of suppressing their progress.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed Lalu Prasad was the only leader for the backward classes:
Tejashwi Yadav claimed Lalu Prasad was the only leader for the backward classes.
Tejashwi Yadav lauded his father and RJD founder Lalu Prasad Yadav as the only leader who truly worked for the empowerment of backward and marginalized communities in Bihar.
“The BJP founder and RSS never wanted you to move forward. That’s why, despite your large numbers, your representation in government jobs remains minimal,” he said.
He accused the ruling party of eroding reservation benefits, stating, “BJP has stolen your reservation, and now they’re stealing your rights. The only way out is education. Educate your children so they can understand and demand their rightful place in society.”
Tejashwi Yadav’s big promises permanent housing:
Making a significant electoral pitch Tejashwi Yadav declared, “The day I become the Chief Minister, I will construct permanent houses for all those living in night shelters, slums, and along drains. Give me just five years Tejashwi may be immature in age, but not weak in words. I will deliver what I promise.”
Startling data on marginalization:
Highlighting the community’s marginalization, Tejashwi Yadav cited statistics that painted a grim picture.
The Musahar community, with a population of 40 lakh, has produced only 20 doctors and 76 engineers.
The Dom caste, numbering 2.6 lakh has just 19 doctors and 63 engineers.
Among the entire Scheduled Caste community, only 0.015% is doctors with Tejashwi Yadav described as “not even half of half.”
He criticized the system, stating, “This is deliberated. The BJP wants to keep you poor so they can keep exploiting you.”
Targeting the Manjhi vote bank:
Tejashwi questioned, “Will children of the Manjhi community not become doctors, engineers, or politicians?”

He reiterated that Lalu Prasad Yadav gave the opportunity to all and worked to bring people from oppressed castes into mainstream professions and politics.
Political analysts view the Sammelean as a direct outreach to the Musher vote bank, traditionally aligned with former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
The overwhelming support Tejashwi received suggests a potential shift in voter sentiment, which may pose new challenges for the Manjhi family in upcoming elections.
