Patna, November 9, 2025: Grand Alliance chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday celebrated his 36th birthday in the middle of an election rally at Sanjhauli in Karakat Assembly constituency of Rohtas district.

Yadav cut a cake on stage while supporters held “Happy Birthday” posters. He appealed to voters to support CPI(ML) candidate Arun Kumar from Karakat.

Tejashwi Yadav criticized the NDA government:

Calling the NDA government “dishonest,” Tejashwi said that only a change of regime would allow his promised schemes to be implemented. He reiterated that under the proposed “Mai Behan Maan Yojana,” Rs 30,000 would be deposited into the bank accounts of all women in Bihar on January 14; LPG cylinder price would be brought down to Rs 500; and old-age pension would be raised to Rs 1,500.

Tejashwi Yadav will address over one dozen rallies on the last day of the poll campaign:

Sunday is the last day of campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly polls. Voting for 122 seats will take place on November 11.

Tejashwi is scheduled to address over a dozen rallies today—five of them in Rohtas—as all political parties make a final push before the 5 pm deadline.

RJD is contesting 143 seats in the Bihar Assembly election; 70 of its candidates are in the fray in Phase 2. Polling in this phase covers Champatan, Kosi, Seemanchal, Bhagalpur, Magadh and Shahabad divisions. Except for Champaran, the Mahagathbandhan had led in these divisions in 2020.
