RJD spokesperson criticized Dilip Jaiswal for questioning Tejashwi Yadav.

Patna October 3, 2024: RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan responded strongly to Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal’s criticism of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.

Gagan sarcastically remarked that if Tejashwi Yadav is responsible for running the government and providing flood relief, then the BJP and JD(U) should hand over the responsibility of governance to him.

The RJD spokesperson defended Tejashwi Yadav by pointing to his previous tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, during which he demonstrated how a government should stand with the people in their difficult times and work in the public interest.

“During Tejashwi Yadav’s 17 months in office, he actively worked for the welfare of the people and never questioned the then-Leader of Opposition (Vijay Kumar Sinha),” Gagan said.

RJD spokesperson continues his sharp response to BJP’s criticism of Tejashwi Yadav, highlighting the widespread impact of the severe flood across Bihar.

“The relief efforts are limited to official paperwork, while the reality is flood-affected areas are dire, with panic among the people. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar merely conducted a one-day aerial survey and completed the formality. The other ministers and ruling party leaders of making baseless statements to distract from their own failures and inaction,” the RJD spokesperson said.

He emphasized the irony of the government attacking the opposition instead of taking responsibility for the crisis. The RJD spokesperson specifically targeted Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal, pointing out that he is part of the ruling government, and should focus on addressing the issue rather than criticizing the opposition.

Gagan stated, “It is not Tejashwi’s government, he is the leader of the opposition,” implying that the responsibility for flood relief lies with the ruling coalition.

He also suggested that leaders like Jaiswal, who fails to understand this basic fact, are a “curse” not only for Bihar but for politics in general.

Earlier, Dilip Jaiswal sharply criticized Tejashwi Yadav for his Dubai tour amid the flood.

Tejashwi Yadav, despite being out of the country, recently uploaded a post on his official X handle and slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, questioning why he had not demanded from the centre to declare the Bihar floods a national disaster.

In response to Tejashwi’s remarks, Jaiswal dismissed them, sarcastically stating, “Please search where he is.” He further added, “Don’t discuss the question of people who are absent during such severe crisis. While the people of Bihar are fighting for their lives amidst the floods, Tejashwi Yadav is vacationing in Dubai.”
