Patna, November 5, 2025: With the polling for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections set to begin in a few hours, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, on Wednesday appealed to the youths of Bihar to vote in large numbers for the future of the state.
Addressing first-time voters, Gandhi said, “My young friends and my Gen-Z brothers and sisters of Bihar, tomorrow is not just a day of voting, but a day to decide the future direction of Bihar. Many of you will be voting for the first time—this is not just your right, but the greatest responsibility in a democracy.”
Rahul Gandhi pointed out irregularities in other states:
Referring to alleged irregularities in recent polls in other states, he said, “You have seen how blatant vote rigging was carried out in Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, everywhere these people have tried to suppress the voice of the people. Now their eyes are on Bihar, on your vote, on your future. Tomorrow, reach your polling station in large numbers and vote for the candidates of the Grand Alliance.”
Rahul Gandhi urged electors to remain alert to any conspiracy and manipulation at polling stations.
“The future of Bihar is in your hands. Defeat this conspiracy of vote theft, government theft. Walking on the path of truth and non-violence, save democracy with your vote, awaken Bihar.”
Tejashwi Yadav also appealed to the youths:
Grand Alliance Chief Ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav also appealed to the youth, urging them to step out and cast their votes.
“All young friends, students, leave your hostels and coaching centres and go to your village to vote for better education, healthcare, law and order, industries, jobs, employment and a better future,” Yadav said.
Voting for the first phase will take place on November 6.
