Appearing before the Purnea District Court on Thursday, Pappu Yadav was granted bail on two personal bonds of Rs 10,000 each.

Pappu Yadav will file a defamation case:

Speaking to the media after the hearing, Yadav said, “This is a victory of truth. The phone number used in the extortion was not registered in my name. Those who tried to malign my image will face a defamation suit. I will file a case in the Supreme Court against them.” The case was filed by Raja Bhagat, a furniture businessman, who alleged that Pappu Yadav and Amit Yadav had been demanding extortion money since 2021.
