Prashant Kishor criticized the Nitish Kumar Government over the rat bite incident, corruption, and farmers’ plight in Saran.

Patna, May 22, 2025: Jan Suraj curator and political strategist Prashant Kishor intensified his criticism of the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government during two back-to-back public meetings in Ekma Assembly constituency as part of his ‘Bihar Badlaav Yatra’ on Thursday.

His sharpest attacks were aimed at the state’s health infrastructure, corruption, and the longstanding neglect of farmers.

Addressing massive gatherings at Janata Bazar Sports Ground in Lahladpur block and Lachhu Baram Baba Ground in Karanpura, Amdadhi, Kishor referred to the recent rat bite incident at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Patna’s second-largest government hospital, calling it a “symbol of collapsing governance.”

Prashant Kishor attacked Health Minister Mangal Pandey:

Taking a direct swipe at Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey,

Kishor said: “We do not know him as the Health Minister.

During COVID, when lakhs of migrants walked home barefoot, Mangal Pandey remained invisible. Even today, when rats are biting patients in hospitals, the health system continues to rot under his watch.”

He urged the youth of Bihar not to forget the neglect during the pandemic, emphasizing that those in power then are still in charge now.

Criticism of CM Nitish Kumar and call for voter awakening:

Prashant Kishor also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of remembering farmers only during election season.

“You’ve ruled for 20 years, yet farmers still don’t get fair prices. When will real reform happen?” he asked.

He highlighted widespread corruption in the state, alleging that rations and land documents require bribes, and said the common citizen continues to suffer while the powerful thrive.

Vote for your children, not for faces of power:

In a passionate appeal, Prashant Kishor urged people not to be swayed by familiar political faces.

“Don’t vote by looking at Nitish, Lalu or Modi. Next time, vote by looking at the faces of your children. Vote for education, employment, and a better future,” Kishor said.

Before the public events, Kishor offered prayers at Gopaleshwar Nath Dham, where enthusiastic supporters weighed him with laddus a traditional gesture of honor in Bihar.
