Kishor who launched the Bihar Badlaav Yatra from Jayprakash Narayan’s birthplace on May 20, highlighted the issue during his visit, expressing dismay that the house of a national icon had been left in darkness.
“Jayprakash Narayan’s followers enjoy air-conditioning in his name, but his own house lies without basic amenities,” Kishor had remarked, appealing to the government to restore power immediately even offering to pay the dues if needed.

According to local residents, electricity supply was resumed on May 21, and the administration has also begun efforts to restore water supply to the area.
