PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Patna Airport’s new terminal on May 29, will announce multi-crore projects to boost infrastructure.

Patna, May 23, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on May 29, where he inaugurate the new terminal building of Patna Airport, a major infrastructure milestone for the state.
The announcement was made by BJP Bihar State President Dilip Jaiswal during a press interaction in Patna on Friday.
Jaiswal said, “The day lands on the soil of Patna, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building. This will be a significant infrastructural boost to Bihar.”
He added that Narendra Modi will also review the progress of the Bihta airport expansion project, another key initiative under the central government’s aviation development plan for Bihar.
Narendra Modi’s party engagement and public rally:
As part of his visit, PM Narendra Modi will visit the BJP state headquarters in Patna and engage with local party leaders and workers.
“The BJP is a party of workers, and such interactions reflect the grassroots strength of our organization,” Jaiswal noted.

On May 30, the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Bikramganj in Rohtas district, where he will address a massive rally. Preparations for the event are already underway.
According to Jaiswal, PM Modi is expected to announce projects worth more than Rs 50,000 crore aimed at enhancing Bihar’s infrastructure, connectivity, and development.
Sharp remarks on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s political re-entry:
Commenting on the renewed political activity of RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, Jaiswal said, “It is good that he is becoming active in Bihar, but
He should focus on good governance. When he was previously active, he was convicted in the fodder scam, and Bihar’s image suffered badly across the country.”
He accused the RJD regime of fostering lawlessness, saying, “Criminals were rampant, and Bihar was dragged backward toward the Charwan Vidyalaya model of governance. The term “Bihari became a subject of mockery during his tenure.”
Jaiswal concluded with cautious optimism: “It is good that he is active in politics, but we hope he contributes positively this time and avoids past mistakes.”
With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, PM Narendra Modi’s visit holds strategic importance for the BJP.
The inauguration of key infrastructure projects and high-value investment is expected to bolster the party’s narrative of development and governance in the state.
