Nitish Kumar vowed to fulfill his poll promise to provide 1 crore jobs or employment to youths.

Patna, November 27, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday reaffirmed that his government will fulfil its major election promise of creating 1 crore jobs and employment opportunities for the youth over the next five years.

Nitish Kumar highlighted that all government departments have been instructed to submit details of vacant posts to the General Administration Department to expedite the recruitment process.

He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring maximum government job opportunities for Bihar’s youth.

In a post on his official X handle, Nitish Kumar wrote, “It has been our priority from the beginning to ensure that as many youth as possible in the state receive employment. Under Saat Nischay-2, 50 lakh youth in the state were provided government jobs and employment between 2020-25. We have set a target of providing jobs and employment to 1 crore youth in the next five years, between 2025 to 2030.”

The Chief Minister said that soon after the formation of the new government, the administration began working swiftly to fill vacancies across departments.

Nitish Kumar directed officials to requisite the vacancies by December 31, 2025:  

The Chief Minister stated that all administrative departments, divisional commissioners, police headquarters, and district magistrates have been directed to send vacancy requisitions to the General Administration by December 31, 2025.

The department will scrutinize these vacancies and forward them to the relevant recruitment commissions at the earliest.

“All recruitment commissions and selection agencies have been instructed to publish a full recruitment calendar in January 2026,” he said.

“This calendar will specify advertisement dates, exam timelines, and result declaration dates. Importantly, the period from advertisement to final results must not exceed one year, regardless of the number of exam stages.

Strict measures for transparency in examination:

Nitish Kumar reiterated that all examinations will be conducted in a completely fair and transparent manner.

“Strict and immediate action must be taken to prevent the use of unfair means. In case of irregularities, culprits will be identified and punished through fast-track courts,” he said.

“To ensure smooth conduct of online examinations, the number of exam centres across the state will be increased,” he said.

Nitish Kumar said that his government has been consistently working to ensure a brighter future for Bihar’s youth.

“We are committed to providing maximum government jobs and employment opportunities. All examinations will be held on time and with full transparency. Our goal is to make Bihar’s youth skilled, self-reliant, and able to secure as many opportunities as possible,” he said.
