Patna, November 27, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday inspected three major road and flyover projects in Patna and directed officials to accelerate construction work while ensuring quality.

“Today, I inspected the construction work of the railway overbridge at Sipara Gumti and the Sipara-Mithapur elevated road under the Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun road (Phase-2) and directed that they be completed soon with speed and quality,” Kumar said.

He noted that once completed, these projects will ease traffic flow in Patna, reduce congestion, and improve connectivity on the Patna-Gayaji route.

Nitish Kumar also inspected service roads:

CM Nitish Kumar also reviewed the construction of the approach and service roads connecting the Mithapur flyover to the Chiraiyatand flyover.

This flyover will provide major relief from traffic jams in the Karbigahia area and significantly facilitate the movement of people,” he said.

Nitish Kumar conducted the fourth inspection in four days:

Thursday’s visit marked Kumar’s fourth inspection in four consecutive days, reflecting intensified monitoring of Patna’s ongoing infrastructure works.

He was accompanied by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Chandrashekher Singh, Patna District Magistrate Tyagarajan SM, Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma and other senior officials.

On Wednesday, Kumar inspected progress on the Danapur-Bihta elevated road, directing officials to expedite work.

A day earlier, he reviewed Mandiri, Rajiv Nagar and Sarpentine drain, where road construction has been proposed.

On Monday, he inspected the newly built MLA flats.

Nitish Kumar had inaugurated the first phase of the Mithapur-Mahuli four-lane elevated road on June 16, 2025.

This was the flagship project aimed at reducing congestion and improving connectivity with Patna-Gaya-Dobhi NH 83, offering a smoother commute toward Jehanabad, Gayaji, Dhanbad, Kolkata and Ranchi.
